About Dr. Ajay Thakkar

Dr. Ajay Thakkar is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than four decades of clinical experience in Mumbai. He completed his MBBS in 1982 and MS in Orthopaedics in 1985 from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College (LTMMC) and General Hospital, Sion, Mumbai. Over the years, he has worked with patients with a wide range of orthopaedic conditions and performs surgeries at hospitals including Kikabhai Hospital, Sushrut Hospital, Zynova Hospital, Zen Hospital, CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital, and Parakh Hospital.
 

Dr. Thakkar focuses on adult joint and reconstructive surgery. His areas of practice include primary and revision hip and knee replacement, complex joint replacement, and arthroscopic (keyhole) procedures for various joint problems. He believes in carefully assessing each patient before recommending surgery and explaining the treatment options in simple terms.
