Dr. Amit Karad is a highly accomplished consultant cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon who stands at the forefront of advanced mechanical circulatory support, aortic interventions, and organ transplantation in India.

His clinical journey began with foundational training at Jaslok Hospital in 2010, after which he completed his specialized M.Ch. In Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Nair Hospital, Mumbai, graduating with a third-place university rank and later serving as an assistant professor.

Dr. Karad then pursued an elite clinical fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplantation at Toronto General Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada—one of the world's premier centers for complex cardiac surgery. He runs an active surgical network across Mumbai's top hospitals, including Jaslok Hospital, Saifee Hospital, and Holy Family Hospital.

Dr. Karad’s practice is built on surgical precision and a deep expertise in high-risk cases. He specializes in the surgical treatment of end-stage heart failure, total arterial Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), and complex aortic repairs like the Bentall procedure, thoraco-abdominal reconstructions, and emergency aortic dissection surgeries.
