About Dr. Reiyaal R. Goveas
Dr. Reiyaal R. Goveas is a highly specialized expert in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Prosthodontics in India, bringing advanced international standards to complex dental, facial reconstruction, and implant cases.
He completed his BDS before pursuing extensive specialized training and a Clinical Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Mahidol University, Thailand. During his training, he treated thousands of patients with complex facial conditions and served as an international clinical floor instructor.
Dr. Goveas is also a Certified Digital Smile Design Specialist, having trained directly under Dr. Christian Coachman, the world-renowned pioneer of the modern smile design concept.
He balances his private practice across Therapeuo Dental and Multispeciality Clinic in South Mumbai and Sarvasva Health Clinic in Dadar, while maintaining consultant privileges at Saifee Hospital, Gleneagles Global Hospital, and The Asian Cancer Institute.
Dr. Goveas works closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams in planning facial and oral reconstruction for patients undergoing cancer treatment. His role can begin during treatment planning, allowing the reconstructive and prosthetic requirements to be considered alongside the patient's cancer surgery and subsequent rehabilitation.
His scope of practice also extends to facial reconstruction following burns, acid attacks, major trauma, and congenital or birth defects. He specializes in restoring facial structures and oral function for patients who have experienced significant loss or disfigurement.
Dr. Goveas is also highly experienced in dental implantology, including complex full-mouth implant rehabilitation and implant-supported prosthetic reconstruction. He combines digital planning, prosthodontic expertise, and aesthetic principles to create functional and natural-looking outcomes.
He has further gained international academic and clinical exposure through lecturing at Mayo Clinic and clinical observation at the University of Chicago Craniofacial Center, adding to his experience in complex craniofacial rehabilitation.
